About 30 Gravenhurst businesses oppose BIA Boundary Expansion

Some businesses in Gravenhurst are saying no to the Town’s proposed BIA area expansion. Chip Loughead, (PR:Low-head) Owner of Gravenhurst Plumbing, Heating and Electric says he is one of about 30 businesses who are against the proposed expansion and increase in taxes.

Rick Rawlings, BIA Board Director and Owner of Gravenhurst Tapes thinks otherwise and says the expansion would build up the community.

Rawlings says if local businesses want Gravenhurst to grow, then money should be used to help with events, marketing, and beautification in the UpTown area. He adds that currently only a few businesses are paying for many.
