As freezing rain hits the region the OPP in Muskoka is urging drivers to stay off the roads until this afternoon.
The icy conditions are causing some extremely adverse road conditions, especially along the 400 and Highway 11.
Environment Canada predicts this freezing rain should switch over to regular rain later in the afternoon with warmer temperatures coming in.
Until this happens however, OPP is asking anyone that doesn’t need to be on the road to stay home until the ice clears.
