Parent grief support session runs tonight in Bracebridge to help prepare for the holidays

Christmas can be difficult for parents that have recently lost a child, which is something Karen Ridge understands all too well.
Now a life coach, Ridge went through a similar experience seven years ago when she and her husband lost their 19-year-old son.
Recently, Ridge had felt there was need for a grief support group with the upcoming holidays following the sudden death of Let’s Make Bracebridge Great Facebook page creator Steve Hern.
Ridge says this first meeting will be very informal and just an opportunity for parents to talk about their lost child as well as strategies to make it through the holidays.
She says older siblings are welcome to come with their parents as well and parents are invited to bring a photo of their child to share with the rest of the group.
The meeting runs at 7:00pm at the Wellington Street Pentecostal Church in Bracebridge.
If you have any questions you can call Ridge at 705-645-5009 or e-mail [email protected].
