Another round of snow squalls are expected to hit the region this afternoon

Right before we are expected to get a rather large dumping of snow tonight, we may see some snow squalls hit the region this afternoon.

Environment Canada has warned about 10 to 15 centimetres may fall with these snow squalls for a majority of Muskoka.

Snow squalls can come on quite suddenly and cause instant whiteout conditions while driving.

The excess of snow can cause slippery conditions as well, so if you’re on the roads today make sure to drive according to conditions.

Tonight, a snow storm is predicted to hit the region bringing another 15 to 20 centimetres by Saturday.

Moose FM will have more updates as the snow moves into the region.
