Animal carcasses found in the Awenda Provincial Park spark investigation

Four animal carcasses have been found in the Awenda Provincial Park, and now the OPP is investigating. The Southern Georgian Bay detachment got a call over the weekend from someone who found an carcass in the park, which looked like it was a coyote.

Police also got a tip that three other similar animals were found just days before that, just inside the park’s main entrance.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry at 1-877-TIPS MNR (847-7667).
