Almaguin Highlands OPP makes another arrest during Festive RIDE campaign
The Almaguin Highlands OPP is continuing to aggressively run its Festive RIDE campaign for the third week.
Over the week officers checked nearly 600 vehicles and laid one charge in relation to impaired driving.
On Sunday afternoon, police stopped a driver at Pickerel and Jack Lake Road and Berriedale Road.
The driver, a 42-year-old Armour Township man, was investigated and arrested.
He’s been charged with driving over the legal limit, as well as driving without a validated permit and driving with an open bottle of liquor in the vehicle.
He will appear in a Sundridge court on January 26th.
