Muskoka raises almost $170K during annual radiothon

The Salvation Army will be able to help a lot of families in Muskoka this year with some help from Moose FM.

Over three days, the Bracebridge station ran its annual Kids Christmas Wish Radiothon in partnership with the Salvation Army. The station raised just over $126,000 for the organization.

Meanwhile, Huntsville ran its one day radiothon and was able to raise over $43,000. This money will go towards helping families have a special Christmas as well help with the many programs offered by the Salvation Army.

This radiothon is part of a larger initiative by parent company Vista Radio, which tries to raise $1 million across the country. Vista announced on Friday afternoon, it had just crested that million dollar mark.
