Bracebridge reaches new five-year agreement for unionized employees

Unionized workers with the Town of Bracebridge will see an increase of 1.5 per cent in wages each year for the next three years.
The town recently ratified an agreement with representatives of the local 305, which will until 2021.
On top of this increase running over the next three years, employees will then see a 1.6 per cent increase on June 1st 2019 and then a 1.7 per cent increase in 2020.
The local 305 represents 43 full-time and casual employees with the Town of Bracebridge.
Mayor Graydon Smith noted the professional and thorough approach that the union took, while having an understanding of fiscal challenges to the municipality.
