Huntsville to make a bid for the 2019 55+ Ontario Winter Games

Huntsville could be hosting the 2019 55+ Ontario Winter Games. Town council decided this week to put $60,000 aside from this year’s, and next year’s budget.

Community Development Officer Scott Ovell says the province would help to fund the event, should the town be chosen.

Ovell also says hosting the event would be a tourism boost for Huntsville, as the 55+ demographic tends to spend money in the host community. Council was on board, and will move ahead with its bid.
