The Port Sydney Yard sale kicks off today. Hosted by the Port Sydney, Utterson and Area Chamber of Commerce, Gord Haig says it’s going to be a great event.

It’s not just a typical yard sale. Haig says it’s a community fundraiser.

Organizations like the Port Sydney Volunteer Firefighters Association, Stephenson Lions Club, Knox United and Christ Church will be there offering food, a car wash and a family-friendly atmosphere. Haig says it’s the volunteers that make an event like today’s Port Sydney Yard Sale a success.

This village-wide yard sale will run all morning and into the afternoon.

6am to 10am: Christ Church
Tim Hortons timbits and coffee
8am to 11:30am: Stephenson Lions Club
Breakfast BBQ – Bacon on a Bun at the Port Sydney Community Hall
8am to 1pm: Knox United Church
Chili & a bun
8:30am to 2pm: Port Sydney Volunteer Firefighters Association
Car Wash Fundraiser at the Fire Hall
