Local PC candidate makes campaign stop at brewery in Bracebridge

During a tour of Muskoka Brewery Friday morning, Ontario Progressive Conservative candidate Norm Miller promised affordable energy rates and less red tape for businesses in Parry Sound – Muskoka. “Local businesses like Muskoka Brewery are the backbone of our economy. In communities across Parry Sound – Muskoka, they are the engines of job growth,” said Miller.

The Ontario PC Million Jobs Plan aims to create new jobs through a combination of lower taxes, affordable energy, and a one-third reduction in red tape. “Complying with current regulations costs businesses $11 billion every year. Our entrepreneurs should be spending their efforts building great businesses, not filling out redundant government forms,” explained Miller.

The high cost of energy also takes its toll on businesses. A PC government would make energy more affordable for homes and businesses by ending expensive and excessive wind turbine and solar subsidies and importing clean, hydroelectric power from neighboring provinces. Miller made the stop ahead of his trip to Parry Sound to canvass with his campaign team.
