Almaguin Highlands OPP has already charged few drivers during the Festive RIDE campaign.
Police have laid charges for possession of marijuana and having an open container of liquor in the vehicle.
Officers have also checked over 300 vehicles since the campaign kicked off on November 21st.
Officials say this year there is a stronger focus on drug-impaired driving and there are officers trained in detecting drivers that are on drugs.
Police want you to make sure you plan ahead and have another option to get home when you’re going out to celebrate during this holiday season.
