Ontario Winter Games and expanding the Hunter’s Bay Trail on tonight’s council agenda

Huntsville is going to get an idea of what it will cost to host the 2019 Ontario Winter Games tonight, should the town be selected. The town will have to make a $60,000 financial commitment, which would be split up between next year’s and the 2019 budget.

That’s all part of tonight’s council meeting, which is also going to look at an economic development promotional video, and an update on the Muskoka Health System transformation.

Another item on tonight’s agenda is an update on expanding the Hunter’s Bay Trail. The budget for the project has gone from around $580,000 to almost $615,000, and the town is about $35,000 short.

The meeting kicks off at 7:00pm tonight at the Civic Centre.
