The OPP is reporting Highway 11 North is closed from North Bay to Cobalt after a collision between two transport trucks.
Police say the incident happened south of Temagami and just north of Tonomo Lake Road. There’s no estimated time on how long the highway will be closed, and no detour is in place yet.
Update: The OPP has now confirmed the crash was fatal. No details on the victim are being released yet.
Highway 11 is still closed between Temagami and North Bay and is expected to remain closed for an extensive amount of time. Highway 64 is also closed at Pike Lake Road. There is now a southbound detour for Highway 11. Turn onto Highway 65 in New Liskeard, then go through Highway 101 in Quebec.
