A reported attack on a woman walking through Gull Lake Rotary Park in Gravenhurst was a false claim.
This from Bracebridge OPP, which is reporting, following the investigation, police realized the woman had lied about the incident.
The original complaint to police stated that she had been attacked by an unknown man while walking her dog in the park in late September.
Police want to assure the public that, due to the fabrication of this claim, there are no related safety concerns for anyone using the park.
