Growing local concern over 100,000 job cuts plan, which is supported by PC candidate Norm Miller

There’s growing local concern over Ontario PC Leader Tim Hudak’s 100,000 job cuts plan. The Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation (OSSTF) is holding a rally outside local PC candidate Norm Miller’s Parry Sound riding office between 5 and 6pm today to protest the proposed cuts. The group says everyone is invited and that the event is aimed at getting the community to think about the upcoming June 12th election. Organizers say the Hudak PC’s and Miller would make devastating cuts that will hurt people across the Province, while allowing corporations to increase profits through a 30 percent tax reduction. Miller’s riding office is located at 18 James Street. Food and refreshments are to follow the rally at the Parry Sound Museum.
