The Huntsville Fire Department is ramping up for its 28th annual Project Porchlight Food Drive. It’s happening on December 7th,  when fire trucks, ambulances, and police cruisers will be going door-to-door to collect non-perishables.

Those donations will then go to the Salvation Army to help those in need throughout the year. Leave your porchlight on, and Santa along with the first responders will come to collect.

Fire Prevention Officer Mike Vadjla says Project Porchlight is tradition in Huntsville, and they are grateful for the community support.
