Gravenhurst has been listed as one of the top social media savvy municipalities in the province.
This according to a recent study released by Redbrick Communications, which rated the Twitter use of all 444 municipalities in Ontario.
Gravenhurst’s @Gatewy2Muskoka Twitter handle rated 13th place on the list of Most Followed Municipalities Per Capita with over 3,500 active followers.
Communications Coordinator Jason Harnett says they’re really happy so many people are following the town and sharing its messages.
Since 2014, the follwer base has jumped by 2,000 people according to Harnett.
The study does not take into account the use of Facebook, Youtube or Instagram, but Harnett says those platforms are doing quite well too.
