The Cavalcade Ford Bears are now gold medalists following a recent tournament.

Over the weekend of November 4th, the Bears took part in the Kingston Canadians Tournament Series.

According to officials the Bears faced some tough competition as they took on some of Ontario’s finest A centres.

On Friday the Bears won against the Richmond Hill Stars 3-1.

The wins continued with the Bears beating the Clarington Toros 5-1 in game two, the Oshawa Generals 4-1 in game three and the Richmond West Carleton Crusaders 2-0 in game four.

During the semi-final game against Newmarket on Sunday the Bears took their fifth win blanking the team 4-0.

Finally, South Muskoka faced off against Richmond West once again and following a tight game, the team took gold with a 3-0 win.

Head Coach Dan Blum says the staff was extremely pleased with the way the team came together especially against such good teams like Newmarket and Richmond Carleton.
