Cadets to keep vigil in Bracebridge and Gravenhurst before Remembrance Day ceremonies

A few cadets will be spending some time quietly reflecting in Bracebridge as they prepare for Remembrance Day.
Tonight, the cadets will take one-hour shifts standing vigil at the cenotaph in Memorial Park.
Cadet trainer Laura Pepper says its an excellent experience for these kids.
Pepper says the cadets will start their shifts at 8:00pm tonight and will continue to spend time at the cenotaph until 10:30am Friday morning.
Just before the Friday morning ceremony, one cadet will remain and be joined by two members of the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves from Barrie to keep vigil during the ceremony.
Pepper says this vigil service has been provided since the Muskoka Pioneers 2250 Royal Canadian Army Cadets came together in 1993.
There will also be cadets from Gravenhurst to stand at the cenotaph before the ceremony Friday morning at the Opera House.
