Bracebridge volunteer recognized with provincial award

A Muskoka woman is being recognized for her work as a volunteer in Bracebridge.
Marlene Tynan is one of the volunteers at The Pines Long-Term Care Home.
Her work with the home has earned her the 2016 Ontario Senior Achievement Award.
According to the details, Tynan spends her time at the home almost everyday, helping with trips, special events and even spending hours reading to residents one-on-one.
She is also a part of the home’s palliative care team.
This award recognizes residents across Ontario who are over the age of 65 and are making outstanding contributions in their community.
