Huntsville Hoya Robotics collecting bottles and unwanted metal to raise funds

Students at Huntsville High School are holding a special fundraiser this weekend to help them continue to build some amazing machines.
On Saturday and Sunday, students will be at the high school parking lot running a bottle drive and collecting unwanted metal.
They are raising funds for the Hoya Robotics program to compete at various robotics fairs in Barrie, North Bay and Toronto.
Teacher Ian McTavish says they’ll also be taking donations of old computers, phones and tablets.
He says the students will refurbish these electronics and donate them to the food bank and to students in the school that can’t afford these types of electronics at home.
McTavish says they’re hoping to get electronics that aren’t too old and tablets and phones that have WiFi ability.
Students will be accepting all donations between 9:00am and 5:00pm on both days.
