GHS students combat hunger with two Halloween food drives
Gravenhurst High School students have worked together to raise a sizable donation for the Gravenhurst Salvation Army Food Bank.
Between the Spooktacular and the Haunt for Hunger, students pulled in 534 food donations.
The Spooktacular was held on October 27th and saw students dressing the Opera House in the theme of Scary Fair Tales.
And on Monday night, students took to the streets of Gravenhurst going door-to-door for food donations.
Teacher Jacki McPherson says the response from the community was amazing.
Salvation Army Lieutenant Kam Robinson says the need for donations is always great leading up to the Christmas season.
