Officials say using a weak password while on a free Wi-Fi network can make your device attract fraudsters.
They say free internet access points can be malicious.
But, they are purposely named to imitate a trusted access point.
Police say you can strengthen your password by adding symbols, and numbers.
They say to avoid sending private information when using public Wi-Fi.
