Bracebridge Rotarians rally behind member injured in fireworks incident

The Bracebridge Rotary Club is responding after one of its members was seriously injured in a fireworks incident.
District Governor Margaret Walton says the incident happened Friday afternoon, while members were preparing a fireworks display for that night at the JW Mariott in Minett.
Walton says the injured member was transported to Bracebridge Memorial Hospital and then taken to Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto in critical, but stable condition.
Bracebridge Rotary President Tim Harvey says members are rallying to support the individual during their recovery.
While the Rotary club has not confirmed the name of the injured member, earlier reports suggest it was Jean Polak.
Officials says the cause of the incident is still under investigation.
