District and municipalities send out plows to deal with early snowfall in Muskoka
The District of Muskoka got to pull out its winter toys a bit early this year.
On Thursday morning, the district made the decision to send out its plows due to the heavy snowfall.
According to officials, high volume roads were plowed and salted to offer safer driving conditions.
Operations ran until about 9:00pm and officials say municipalities in the district followed suit clearing local roads.
The district winter maintenance program usually runs from November 1st until April 30th.
