Planning has begun for Oxtongue Lake for Arts and Culture Festival

Plans are in the works for next year’s Oxtongue Lake for Arts and Culture Outdoor Artists’ Day Festival.
The planning committee is hoping to have 20 high quality artists displaying and demonstrating their creative skills.
Organizer Jan Woods says this event is going to be bigger and more interactive than in 2014.
She says Tom Thomson was a Canadian artist who influenced the Group of Seven. Thomson died under mysterious circumstances on Canoe Lake in Algonquin Park.
There is also going to be a Paddle Art Contest in hopes of having 100 paddles for Thomson’s 100th anniversary.
Paddles can be picked up at Algonquin Outfitters.
