Muskoka properties are in demand accord to realtors report

Property sales continue to be on the rise in the Muskoka region.
According to a report from the Lakelands Association of Realtors, both non-waterfront and waterfront properties are continuing to see a healthy boost in sales.
For September non-waterfront properties saw a jump of 18 per cent in sales compared to 2015 and waterfront properties are even higher with a 35 per cent increase.
President of the association Mike Taylor says the demand is still very high for this region for both types of properties.
Properties aren’t spending as much time on the market as compared to previous years either.
This is also having an effect on price according to the report with waterfront values jumping 13 per cent since last September, and non-waterfront up by 4 per cent.
Taylor says these numbers represent very tight markets, which leads to the increase in prices.
