Conservation Officers on the lookout during hunting season in Muskoka

As deer hunting season approaches here in Muskoka the MNRF says it will be stepping up its enforcement.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry says Conservation Officers will be out in full force and is reminding hunters fines can range from $100 to up to $25,000 in extreme cases, including suspension of licenses.
Having a loaded firearm on or firing one from a vehicle is illegal and the MNRF is advising hunters to always keep safety in mind.
Visibility is a major factor and hunters must be wearing solid hunter orange, including a solid orange hat and have at least 2,500 square centimeters of the colour showing above the waist.
