In a celebration of Waste Reduction Week, Ontario is asking people to apply for the 2016 Minister’s Award for Environmental Excellence.
Officials say this year’s award focuses on outstanding efforts to recover and reuse waste resources.
They are asking residents to reduce the amount of garbage we generate.
You can do this by composting your food, drinking tap water, and shopping with a reusable bag.
