The Huntsville Legion is reaching out to the community for help.
Following the heavy rainfall yesterday, the weeping tile bed failed and water came through the back wall of the building causing a flood in the lounge and shuffleboard room.
Volunteers with the Legion are trying to clear out the water and get the building dried out, but President Bruce Frank says they still need more help.
Frank says CRS donated some equipment and Family Place donated lunch.
He says its going to take a while to clear the water and dry out the rooms and he won’t allow the public to use the building until he feels its completely safe.
