Police charge man for careless use of shotgun in Novar

Police have charged a Perry Township man with numerous gun-related charges.
Almaguin Highlands OPP responded to reports of two gunshots in the Hamlet of Novar around 11:00am on October 1st.
The following day, officers responded to the same area after a shotgun was found near the train tracks in Novar.
The investigation continued and on Wednesday, October 5th, police arrested a 23-year-old man and charged him with careless use of a firearm, careless storage of a firearm, fail to report a lost firearm, and providing a false statement about a firearm.
He’s in a Sundridge court today to answer to his charges.
