The Gravenhurst Fire Department is hosting an open house this Saturday.
The Fire Department says this comes as we recognize Fire Prevention Week, with this year’s campaign being ‘Don’t Wait, Check the Date.’
The Fire Department says it will be reminding people about the importance of replacing smoke alarms wear out after 10 years of being manufactured.
You’re also being reminded you are required to have a smoke alarm on every story in your home, and outside every sleeping area.

The open house at the Gravenhurst Fire Station 1, at 190 Harvie Street, happens this Saturday from noon until 3:00pm.
Event will include demonstrations, and portable fire extinguisher training.
