The Bracebridge Fire Department is inviting you to an open house.
Officials say they will be talking about ways to make sure families and local businesses remain safe for years to come.
One of the main things firefighters will be talking about is checking the dates on smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.
They say smoke detectors need to be replaced every 10 years, and carbon monoxide alarms need to be replaced every seven years.
The event is on Wednesday, October 5th, at Station One on Dominion Street.
