District council votes down recommendation for facilitator to lead council composition discussion

A suggestion to bring in a facilitator to discuss district council composition has been shot down.
On Monday night, Muskoka District Council discussed the possibility of bringing in a facilitator to lead a review of the current council composition.
That recommendation was voted down 11-10 and Bracebridge Mayor Graydon Smith says, from his perspective, it would have been a waste of time.
Council Chair John Klinck says while this suggestion was shot down, he’s not seeing the composition discussion going away anytime soon.
Klinck says he feels there is a an understanding from a majority of members that this discussion is worthy of a further look.
