A Muskoka Lakes Councillor has a hefty bill to pay back to the township.
On Friday, council voted 5-4 that Ruth Nishikawa would have to pay the $25,000 deductible used in her defamation lawsuit.
According to details, Nishikawa abstained from voting, which is logged as an automatic no.
In June, Nishikawa was found guilty of defaming former councillor Ron Brent.
Nishikawa was ordered to pay Brent $30,000.
Moose FM reached out to Nishikawa for comment on the matter, but has not had a response.
