The South Muskoka Shield has hit the ground running in their first game of the new GMHL season.
The Shield dominated Seguin 11-0 on Friday night.
However, the team fell to the Bradford Rattlers on Sunday 8-6.
The Bracebridge Blues didn’t have as strong of a start after losing both games over the weekend.
The Blues lost 8-5 against the Lynx on Friday and 14-4 to the Rattlers on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the losing streak was broken on Friday by the Almaguin Spartans with a 4-3 win against the Bradford Bulls.
But, the team lost on Sunday 5-2 to Parry Sound.
The Shield and Spartans will both be in action once again with home games on Friday.
