Our local Habitat for Humanity is asking students to write an essay to win a $50,000 donation.
This is because it’s the 10th annual Genworth Canada Meaning of Home contest.
Director of Development and Communications Britta Gerwin says the donation will be directed to the winning student’s chosen Habitat for Humanity.
Gerwin says students can also win an iPad, and a pizza party for their class.
From October 3rd, to November 30th students in grades four, five and six will be sharing their stories in hopes of winning the contest.
