A group of Muskoka residents and cottagers has filed a lawsuit against the MNRF.
The group claims the government agency dropped the ball when it came to properly dealing with water levels in Muskoka.
It says the MNRF is directly responsible for flood damages to structures on lakes and rivers in Muskoka.
The lawsuit is suing the MNRF for damages in the amount of $900 million.

The group is made up of property owners on Lake Muskoka, Lake Joseph and Lake Rosseau.
There will be a meeting held on Sunday at the Port Carling Community Centre at 9:30am for any residents affected by the flood.
In an email to Moose FM the MNRF has declined to comment on the issue.
