Dead fox in Bracebridge was hit by a vehicle says MNRF

A fox found dead in Bracebridge over the Labour Day long weekend was not shot to death according to MNRF officials.
Spokesperson with the MNRF Jolanta Kowalski says the government service was contacted when the fox was discovered.
A conservation officer was dispatched and examined the dead animal as well as spoke to a few local residents.
The officer concluded the fox had been killed after it had been hit by a vehicle.
A man who discovered the fox on Stephens Bay Road in Bracebridge stated he believed the fox had been shot.
