The OPP in Muskoka is warning hotel guests of a scam making its way around.
Fraudsters are calling people saying they are working the front desk of the hotel the victim is staying at.
The OPP says in many cases, the caller is looking for a confirmation of the credit card number and the three-digit security code on the back of the card.
Officials say the scam is sneaky because fraudsters call hotels and ask to be put through to guests rooms.
They say if you receive a call like this, hang up, and deal with the issue at the front desk.
The OPP is reminding you to never give out credit card information over the phone.
