Bracebridge committee narrows in on intersections that need audible signals

The Town of Bracebridge Accessibility Committee has selected four intersections in the community that could be upgraded with audible signals in the near future.
During its meeting tomorrow afternoon, the committee will discuss forwarding these four intersection suggestions to the Town of Bracebridge and District of Muskoka staff to be planned for budget costs.
Earlier in the year, the committee held a focus group with visually impaired residents to assess the intersections that definitely needed these signals.
One major intersection that the committee would like to get set up soon is the lighted four-way stop at Monck Road, Wellington Street and Highway 118 West.
The other intersections are Manitoba Street, Monck Road and McDonald Street, Ecclestone Drive, Beaumont Drive and Wellington Street and the intersection at Depot Drive.
The meeting starts at 2:00pm in Council Chambers at the Bracebridge municipal office.
