Almaguin Highlands OPP says only two distracted driving tickets were handed out over the Labour Day long weekend.
Police say they were cracking down on distracted driving throughout the weekend and were pleased to see such a low number. There were 12 R.I.D.E. checks over the weekend with 379 vehicles stopped.
Police handed out 44 speeding charges, nine for not wearing a seat belt and two under the controlled drugs and substance act.
