Muskoka Brewery is donating $24,000 as part of their commitment to protecting Ontario’s biodiversity and fresh water sources.

The brewery has partnered with Evergreen, a leading non-profit urban sustainability group to create the Muskoka Brewery & Evergreen Fresh Water Grant Project.

Officials say this initiative will restore native plants in riparian, collect water quality data and engage the public in the care of local water systems.

The Swimmable Lake Ontario Project in Toronto, the Wetland Access Inspiration Trail in Bracebridge and the What’s in your Water Project in Ottawa are this year’s recipients of the Fresh Water Grant to help protect their ecosystems.
