Bracebridge council to discuss crossing on Wellington Street near Annie Williams Park

Bracebridge council will consider the possibility of building a Pedestrian Crossing on Wellington Street.
The town has received a request to consider setting the crossing at Smith Street or Santa’s Village Road to allow pedestrians to safely cross and reach Annie Williams Park.
According to the letter submitted to the town, the District of Muskoka is responsible for that road and will only consider putting in a crossing if there is a formal request from the Town of Bracebridge.
The resident cites numerous possible dangers for pedestrian traffic including difficulty getting over snowbanks in the winter.
This will be one of many items to discuss during General Committee this morning.
The meeting kicks off at 9:00am in council chambers.
