A workshop to help students be financially ready for post-secondary

Huntsville High School is hosting a Financial Aid Workshop next week. Head of Student Services Nico Byl says the workshop will prepare students for post-secondary.

Joe LauzonĀ from GeorgianCollege expert will lead the workshop discussing ways to pay for college or university. Every year about 40 per cent of students in the graduating hear either do a victory lap, or work instead of going straight to college or university. Byl says these students want to either build experience or they have some sort of barrier.

The workshop normally happens during school hours. However, the school decided to change it to an evening event, allowing parents to attend as well. Itā€™s happening on Monday in the school library at 7pm.
