Organizers with the Bala Cranberry Festival say the deadline is approaching for bursary and scholarship applications.
Since 1984, the festival awards scholarships and bursaries to young students furthering their education skills in academics, apprentices and amateur sports. Students in the Township of Muskoka Lakes are encouraged to submit an application for the Orrville Johnston Memorial or Isaac Taylor Memorial scholarships. Bursaries available include sports, performing arts and the Weismiller Skilled Trade.
All submissions are due by next Wednesday, August 31st.
