Residents in Windermere are gearing up for the annual Terry Fox Run this September.
Over the past 15 years, the event has grown quite a bit from a mother collecting donations at a folding table at the side of the road.
This year the run kicks off on September 18th and will feature at 10 km route, starting at Windermere Village, for participants to run, walk, jog, bike or whatever else you can do to be active.
The road will not be closed for the event, however there will be signage set up, but participants should still be careful of traffic.
There will also be a barbecue and live band following the run.
The run kicks off at 9:00am and the event continues until 2:00pm.
