The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry called off two local fire departments to deal with a grass fire in Foot’s Bay.
Officials say on Sunday the Muskoka Lakes Fire Department was notified of the fire by the MNRF and was dispatched.
As crews arrived, the fire was across the municipal boundary and Georgian Bay fire crews were then called to the scene.
Both crews were later called off as the MNRF found the area was, in fact, their responsibility and they managed to extinguish the blaze.
