It may be smaller than the usual trucks, but it packs a punch and it will help Gravenhurst Firefighters get to where they need to be faster.
A new fire truck has joined the aresnol of the Gravenhurst Fire Department.
While the truck may look like a standard 4×4 heavy duty pick-up, it has a few handy tools, like a fire pump, 1,000 litres of water and a few hundred feet of hose.
The truck will be pivotal in getting to fires that may be further into woodland or brush where the larger trucks are unable to go.
The $60,000 investment was provided through Gravenhurst Council’s commitment to keep up with the town’s strategic plan.
